legend of prambanan

Guuyyss... I also have a story from Prambanan, but in different version..

The Legend of Prambanan Temple

Long time ago there was a king named Prabu Boko in Prambanan. Prabu Boko was a powerful giant. He had a daughter named Roro Jonggrang. Jonggrang was a very beautiful princess.
Prabu boko had a friend. He was a king in other kingdom. He was called Boko Pengging. One day king Pengging wanted to expand his empire. He sent his son to lead the attack to Prabu Boko’s kingdom. Bondowoso successfully defeated Boko even killed the king.
Bondowoso stayed in the palace. He fell in love with Jonggrang and asked her to be his queen.
“You know Jonggrang, I feel sad today.”
“What’s the matter, Bondowoso.”
“There was someone has stolen a precious thing in my life. Something that can make me die without it.”
“Oh...what has been stolen?”
“It is my heart that has been stolen away.” Said Bondowoso, “and you know who has stolen it?....It was you....Jonggrang. I love you. Would you please marry me?
Jonggrang did not want to be  the wife of someone who had killed his father. She was looking for a reason to reject Bondowoso.
"I want to be your wife, Bondowoso, but you need to create two wells and a thousand temples over one night."
Although the terms proposed by Jonggrang was impossible to do, Bondowoso believed that he could do it. He gathered the spirits
to began dig wells and build the temples. Bondowoso and his crew worked very quickly.
“Come on! Hurry up working. Go..go..go! How many temples have you made? One...two..three...Come on we don’t have much time. Go...Go...Go...!”
In a short time they had completed a well one and a hundred temples.
Jonggrang anxiously watched from a long distance. He thought hard to fnd ways to frustrate Bondowoso. Jonggrang asked her lady's maid and told them to burn the straw and beating the dimples.
The burnt straw made the atmosphere become bright and the mortar sound surprised the
spirits at work. They thought the day was morning. They fled, leaving Bondowoso wells and temples unfinished.
Bondowoso tried to call them back,”No...don’t go! finish the work! Don’t go!” but they kept going.  He frustrated. “Damned! I failed...I failed.”
Jonggrang met Bondowoso and said, "Your time is up, Bandung. Have you finished my temples?"
Bondowoso was very angry because he knew Jonggrang had ruined his hard work, but he tried to hold back, "Of course the temple was finished. If you do not believe, please you count yourself. "

Jonggrang accompanied by her lady’s maid calculated the temples one by one. Meanwhile Bondowoso was really worried. He knew that the temples were not complete yet. And it meant that Jonggrang couldn’t be his wife. While Jonggrang counted the temples Bondowoso prayed “Please, God. I love Jonggrang very much. I just want to make her happy. Give me a miracle.”
And suddenly Jonggrang screamed “one thousand temples.”
Bondowoso was surprised. There were a well and a thousand temples.
“So, How, Jonggrang?” Asked Bondowoso, “will you marry me?”
Knowing Bondowoso hard work was a proof that he really loved her, finally Jonggrang said “Yes, I do, my king.”
Roro Jonggrang named the temple Bondowoso made as “Prambanan Temple”. Jonggrang got married with Bondowoso in front of the temples. And all the people around the kingdom saw this party. Finally they lived happily.
